Whether you are preparing an official journey or estimating a personal trip, the app shows what information is being used and what the result means.
Government rates
This option is for official work journeys. Choose where the trip starts and ends, then select the approved vehicle category. The app uses the government route distance and fuel-consumption rate already provided in the system to estimate the litres and cost.

This option is for a personal trip or any journey where you know your own figures. Enter the distance and your vehicle's fuel consumption, and the app calculates the fuel you may need and its estimated cost.

The app uses the latest petrol and diesel prices available for Malawi. When prices are updated in the system, new calculations use those prices automatically.

Make it match your vehicle
Create your own vehicle categories.
If your vehicle is not covered by the standard choices, you can add it in Settings. Give the category a name and enter its normal fuel consumption. It will then appear automatically in the consumption choices when you use Custom Calculation.

Example: Save “My Toyota Hilux” with the consumption you normally achieve, then select it for future journey estimates instead of typing the rate again.
